President Prabowo Subianto has designated 77 projects and programs as part of the National Strategic Projects (PSN) for the 2025-2029 period. This amount is significantly lower compared to the 228 projects and 16 programs listed in the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation No. 12 of 2024.

Of the 77 projects, 47 are continuations from the previous administration. Prabowo has only added 30 new projects to his program, including the Free Nutritious Meals Program and the construction of three million houses.

The designation of PSN is dynamic and will be reviewed annually based on several factors, including development priorities, project readiness, funding availability, and presidential approval. This is stipulated in Presidential Regulation No. 12 of 2025.

A total of 26 out of the 47 ongoing PSN projects are industrial estate developments. Of these, 18 projects are located in Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua.

Meanwhile, several PSN projects initiated under President Joko Widodo and only recently designated last year were not included in Presidential Regulation No. 12 of 2025. Among them are the development of Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 and the implementation of a multi-lane free flow (MLFF) cashless toll payment system.

Sectors Cut from the List
The government emphasized that the selected PSN projects are dynamic and largely consist of projects inherited from the previous administration.

“PSN are designated based on development priorities, project readiness, funding availability, and presidential approval,” reads Presidential Regulation No. 12 of 2025, as quoted on Thursday, March 6.

Prabowo has decided not to continue several PSN projects from the previous administration in sectors such as airports, railways, technology, and other PSN programs.

The land connectivity sector saw the largest reduction. Out of the 50 PSN projects listed in Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation No. 12 of 2024, only three have been retained, namely:

  1. Serang-Panimbang Toll Road

  1. Probolinggo-Banyuwangi Toll Road

  1. Patimban Port Access Toll Road

List of Continued Infrastructure PSN Projects
Several general infrastructure projects that remain on the PSN list include:

  1. Development of the Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII) Campus

  1. Way Apu Dam

  1. Jragung Dam

  1. Mbay Dam
