Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have signed a series of agreements and memorandums of understanding worth approximately USD 27 billion, equivalent to IDR 434 trillion. The agreements were made between private sector institutions across several sectors, including clean energy and petrochemicals.

According to the Saudi state news agency SPA, the cooperation between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia includes, among other areas, the supply of crude oil and its derivatives, the enhancement and sustainability of energy supply chains, and the strengthening of cooperation in mineral resources, the agency reported.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto held a high-level bilateral meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud during a state visit to Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, June 2.

Citing an official statement from the Presidential Secretariat, Prabowo and MBS held a one-on-one meeting, followed by a bilateral session with delegations from both countries to discuss key issues of mutual concern.

The two leaders also presided over the inaugural meeting of the High-Level Coordination Council (DKT) and signed the Minutes of Meeting (MoM) for the Indonesia–Saudi Arabia DKT. One of the key points in the MoM was the agreement on DKT governance, which will serve as the institutional framework for the council and will be coordinated by the foreign ministers of both countries moving forward.

This DKT format has previously been adopted by Saudi Arabia in its strategic partnerships with the United States and China.
