Investment in 2025 Reaches IDR 1,905 Trillion, Creates 2.7 Million Jobs

The Ministry of Investment recorded total realized investment throughout 2025 at IDR 1,931.2 trillion. The figure represents an increase of 12.7% compared with the 2024 realization of IDR 1,714.2 trillion and exceeded the target of IDR 1,905 trillion.
The inflow of investment funds generated 2.71 million jobs, up 10.4% from the 2024 level. However, investment per worker in 2025 rose by 3.44% to IDR 712.48 million per person.
Investment realization in 2025 was driven primarily by domestic investors, who contributed 53.4% of the total, equivalent to IDR 1,030.3 trillion. This marked a reversal from 2024, when foreign investors dominated investment realization with a 52.5% share valued at IDR 900.2 trillion.
Investment outside Java continued to exceed investment on the island. Nevertheless, the provinces attracting the largest investment last year remained largely unchanged from 2024.
The top three investment destinations were West Java, Jakarta, and East Java, respectively. The fourth and fifth positions were occupied by Banten and Central Sulawesi, which switched places compared with the previous year.
Investment realization in Central Sulawesi declined by 9.08% year on year, from IDR 139.9 trillion in 2024 to IDR 127.2 trillion. In contrast, investment in Banten increased by 23.3% to IDR 130.2 trillion.
